It is always nice to get together with folks that share the same interests and passions and railroading is what brings all CSX retirees together. There are a few CSX Retiree Clubs around our system that contribute to this website. They share their meeting notices and invitations and what they are up to including community services.
If you belong to a CSX Retiree Club and would like to share your information about what it going on, please let us know. You can send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Since there is so much going on at CSX, please check our webside and Facebook page frequently for articles and presentations about the company.

KiT Club News Letter
We had great time at our May luncheon. We had 15 $20.00 winners from our member drawing and 20 $20.00 Share the Wealth drawing. We had 57 members show up, which is about normal.
I had mentioned in my last newsletter that I was leaving as president, but after a brief meeting with Bud, Bob and Roseann, it was decided that I would stay on. You will have to put up with me for a while longer.
We also decided that we would have a free luncheon in September. A member, widow or widower of a member would be allowed to bring one guest for free. We will not have the member prize drawing, but will have Share the Wealth drawing. We put a limit of 100 total people that will be allowed to attend this free event. You will still have to fill out the registration form so we know who is coming. You can click on the link below to print out. Hope to see a lot of you at our September 15th luncheon.
I’m sorry to say Al Gampp passed away at the age of 88 on June 18, 2017. He was the loving husband of LaDonna for 10 years. Al served in the United States Coast Guard on an icebreaker in the Aleutian Islands. He was a railroad engineer for 43 years at CSX where he pioneered a program called Operation Lifesaver by which he taught children and bus drivers about the dangers of the railroad tracks. Al gave 20 years of dedication, even receiving an award from the Governor for his distinguished service.
Mike Yeagle returned home on or about June 17th. Mike has been recovering from foot surgery. Hope everything goes well for Mike.
Chris Morrison, (Rich Morrison’s wife) has been diagnosed with cancer and vows to fight this deadly decease. You go Chris. At the time of this newsletter being issued she still hanging tough. God Bless you Chris. Keep up the fight.
Bill Stone (Stoney) passed away at the age of 94, on July 23, 2017. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Frances (Fenicle) Stone. Loving father of Dale, Ronald (Sharon), Gregory (Ellen), and Corinne; dear grandfather of 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Dorie Tanner. Stoney served in the Army Air Corps during WW II, then worked for the C & O Railroad until his retirement. He was an avid bowler and a great fan of the Detroit Tigers. God Bless Stony and family.
My bothers attended a memorial for Harry Rodman on August 12th 2017 at his son Bill Rodman’s home in South Lyon Mi. It was a nice get together to celebrate Harry’s life. His wife Pat was there and looked great. Our prayers and best wishes go out to Pat and Harry’s sons Bill and Harry Jr and the rest of the Rodman family and friends. Harry would have been proud.
Roseann Iannotti is back in the hospital fighting the cancer that seems to be getting the best of her. I am waiting to see how she is doing and will get out the information when I receive it. Keep fighting Roseann. Just spoke to her and she is meeting with her doctor today, August 14th and will know more.
I just received this e-mail from Herb Adams.
Hay Jim: myself and Mary will not attend, my oldest daughter is in Hospice care now and we're not sure how long she has, she is but 46 years old, so we are going to visit her daily. I do think of all you, always. Herb Adams ps myself and Dave Hayes are going Wednesday to visit Paul Guichici for a couple of days.
I told Herb our thoughts and prayers go out to his daughter, Herb and the rest of their family. That’s just too damn young to pass.
It’s seems I only have troubling news of late. I hope those that attend our luncheon will have happier news and stories to share. I’m hoping to get a great turn out for this luncheon and hoping the Free Luncheon will draw more people. Free always seems to draw a crowd.
I am in the process of cutting down these newsletter mail outs. I don’t seem to receive much of a response and not many people are sending their $5.00 contributions to stay on our mailing list. I have quite a few emails and would like to have more so we can eliminate mail outs all together. Anyway, that’s all I have at this time. Hope to see many of you at our September luncheon. See Ya.
Your Kit Club President. Jim Morrison.
